What Are Cannabis Mocktails?

Cannabis mocktails are exactly what they sound like—non-alcoholic drinks that contain cannabinoids (typically THC or CBD). These beverages are a type of edible and can be purchased at a licensed dispensary, or, with the right marijuana product, can be made in the comfort of your home.

Cannabis beverages are growing in popularity as people look for new ways to enjoy their cannabis. There are many reasons for this, so be sure to check out our guide to learn more about them!

How Do You Add Cannabis to a Beverage?

Adding cannabis to beverages used to be a challenge, resulting in a chunky, odd-tasting liquid. With the advent of THC and CBD tinctures, it’s much easier to incorporate marijuana into your non-alcoholic cocktails. It also provides a way for people to enjoy a “cocktail” during social events without needing to drink alcohol.

So how do you add cannabis to a beverage? Well, there are a couple ways. The easiest is to pick up a flavorless THC tincture and add a couple drops to your favorite drink. You can also steep your cannabis flower (with a couple other steps) to make cannabis tea. While we love tea during the colder months, the warm nights of summer call for more refreshing options to sip.

Can You Buy Cannabis-Infused Alcohol?

No, this is not permitted in the United States. Cannabis is still federally recognized as a controlled substance in the Controlled Substances Act. This Act states that all parts of Cannabis sativa are considered marijuana. Furthermore, we do not recommend mixing the two!
