What do I need to bring with me when I visit Verilife’s River North dispensary?
As an adult-use dispensary, you will need to bring a government-issued photo ID. (Most forms of government-issued identification are accepted.)
Is your dispensary near downtown Chicago?
Yes, our dispensary is located in Chicago’s downtown area, in the heart of River North. It’s also a short distance from nearby neighborhoods like the Loop, Streeterville, the West Loop, and River West.
Can I have marijuana products delivered in Chicago?
Unfortunately, Illinois and the city of Chicago do not permit cannabis delivery.
Can I buy edibles in Chicago?
Yes, our Chicago cannabis dispensary menu offers a comprehensive selection of edibles, including cannabis-infused candies, chocolate, drinks, and other snacks from great cannabis brands.
Can I visit your dispensary if I’m not from Chicago?
Yes, adults over the age of 21 are welcome at our Chicago (River North) dispensary. Illinois allows for both residents and non-residents to purchase cannabis products at any state-licensed recreational dispensary.
Can I pay with a credit card?
We accept debit cards at our Chicago (River North) dispensary. We also have an on-site ATM.
What is the tax on recreational marijuana in Chicago (River North)?
Illinois taxes recreational cannabis products based on the amount of THC and the type of product:
- 10% sales tax - cannabis flower and products with less than 35% THC
- 20% sales tax - cannabis-infused products like edibles
- 25% sales tax - products with more than 35% THC
These amounts are in addition to local state, county, and municipal taxes applied at the dispensary. Dispensary staff can answer any questions about the amount of sales tax you can expect to pay.
How much marijuana can I purchase at the Chicago (River North) dispensary?
Recreational purchase amounts vary depending on your residential status in Illinois. Illinois residents are allowed to purchase up to 30 grams of marijuana flower; 5 grams of marijuana concentrates; and up to 500 milligrams of THC in marijuana-infused products.
If you are not a resident of Illinois, you are able to purchase up to 15 grams of marijuana flower; up to 5 grams of concentrates; and up to 500 milligrams of THC in marijuana-infused products.
NOTE: These totals are cumulative, meaning a person 21 years of age or older may possess a combination of marijuana flower, cannabis-infused products, and concentrates up to the limit for each category of product.
Does your Chicago dispensary offer free parking?
Yes, we have a free parking lot for our customers, directly next to our dispensary. You can access the parking lot from Superior Street.
