Where Can I Use Medical Marijuana in Pennsylvania?

Smoking medical marijuana via combustion–i.e. lighting with an open flame–is illegal in Pennsylvania, even if you have a medical marijuana card. That being said, the state does allow vaporization and ingestion, but only on private property by registered medical marijuana patients.

What do I need when I visit a dispensary in Pennsylvania?

All patients must present a valid, state-issued medical marijuana card and a valid, government-issued photo ID. Pennsylvania does not accept medical cards issued by other states.


What are acceptable forms of ID for dispensaries in Pennsylvania?

Expect to see the product name or strain, the cannabinoid and terpene profiles, the TAC (total active cannabinoids), THC to CBD ratios, whether the product has been lab tested, and the harvest, packaging, and expiration dates.
