What is the tax on marijuana in Schaumburg, IL?
Illinois taxes cannabis products based on the amount of THC and the type of product:
- 10% sales tax - cannabis flower and products with less than 35% THC
- 20% sales tax - cannabis-infused products like edibles
- 25% sales tax - products with more than 35% THC

How much marijuana can I purchase at the Schaumburg dispensary?
The amount of marijuana you can purchase and possess depends on whether you are an Illinois resident or visitor. Illinois residents can purchase up to 30 grams of marijuana flower; up to 5 grams of marijuana concentrates; and up to 500 milligrams of THC-infused products. Non-Residents can possess up to 15 grams of flower; up to 2.5 grams of concentrates; and up to 250 milligrams of THC in infused products.
