The physician-patient relationship

Physicians are not “prescribing” medical marijuana.

The physician must have a bona fide physician-patient relationship before medical marijuana can be recommended. You are also required to review the past 12 months of a patient’s prescriptions and describe the risks and benefits of marijuana with the patient.
