Ryno Scores a Hole in One with Cannabis
What does it mean to Ryne Sandberg to stay active? Hosting and playing in the Ryne Sandberg Illinois PGA Foundation Pro-Am tournament! This annual event raises money for a nonprofit close to Ryne’s heart, Lambs Farm, so it wouldn’t be the same without Ryno and his famous swing. That’s where Team Verilife comes in.
“Staying active means doing the things that I love, which includes lots of golf and giving back to the communities that have supported me throughout my career,” says Ryno. “I look forward to this golf tournament all year, so I was eager to see how incorporating cannabis could help my post-game rest and recovery.”
A long-time member of the PGA and the Chicago District Golf Association (CDGA), Sandberg actually learned to play golf before he played baseball. “I played throughout my baseball career, having days off on the road and playing golf at some great courses around the country. I like the scenery, the beauty of it, and that’s something you can do your entire life,” Sandberg told Chicago District Golfer in a 2020 interview.
From a good night’s rest the day before to relaxation the day after, Sandberg has incorporated cannabis into his wellness routine to stay active and keep doing what he loves to do. “I’m 62, and I enjoy the game now more than ever!”
