Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana for Children

A true way to heal for patients of all ages.

Some people are surprised to learn that medical marijuana is an option for children. For kids with epilepsy, cancer, and other conditions, anecdotal evidence shows support for its benefits.

At Verilife, we believe that no one should have to suffer when a medication that can help relieve their symptoms exists—least of all children. That’s why we advocate for access for everyone, including kids, and ensure that we bring the real information about its potential to help.

Here's how children in Pennsylvania can get certified for medical marijuana:

  • Patients under the age of 18 with a serious medical condition can get medical marijuana through a caregiver
  • A caregiver for a minor must be a parent, legal guardian or spouse and must be 21 years of age or older unless otherwise authorized by the department
  • Third-party caregivers must be designated by the patient’s parent or patient's legal guardian or spouse.
    • An authorization form can be downloaded from the caregiver’s profile and uploaded once completed
  • Have an approved physician certify that the child suffers from one of the serious medical conditions that qualify for medical marijuana use under Pennsylvania's Medical Marijuana Program
